NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio -- An annual fall tradition in North Olmsted involves students and staff members picking up leaves at the home of elderly seniors.
While many North Olmsted High School students were taking the PSAT, others spent this nontraditional school day serving the community by volunteering.
North Olmsted City Schools Superintendent Chris Caleris commended North Olmsted High School Principal Jim Koontz for coming up with the project.
“Overall, our district is looking for new ways for our students to experience the importance of helping in the community and helping others,” Caleris said. “Mr. Koontz had a great idea that some of our students took advantage of.
