During his BBC Radio 2 show today, Vernon Kay had sudden realisation while live on air regarding his wife Tess Daly 's decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing at the end of the current series.
The presenter was chatting to a listener about his family life when he referred to Tess by the nickname he often gives her on the airwaves.
Tess, who has been part of the BBC dance competition since its first series in 2004, is frequently described as "Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly" by her husband, due to her long-standing association with the show, and he did just that during Monday morning's broadcast.
However, Vernon backtracked on his choice of moniker for the first time, with the presenter pondering how he'll refer to his other half when she parts ways with Strictl
