PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) -- The NBA has fined Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid $50,000 for what the league has deemed to be a lewd gesture during their Friday night game against the Boston Celtics.

The fine was announced Sunday by James Jones, the league's executive vice president and head of basketball operations.

This is at least the fourth time Embiid has been fined for making the gesture. The 76ers star took to social media to express his distaste for the fine.

The Philadelphia 76ers lost Friday's game to the Boston Celtics, 109-108.
