Justin Trudeau’s homemade Halloween costume appears to reference one of Katy Perry’s past viral moments.

Trudeau, who was recently photographed holding hands with the singer in Paris, posted a photo on Instagram posing with his youngest child, Hadrien, in their group Halloween costume.

In the photo, the former Canadian prime minister wore an inflatable shark costume and held a bloody surfboard with a bite mark out of the side, while his son wore a sleeveless wetsuit with fake blood dripping down the side of his face.

In the caption, Trudeau shared background about their costumes, which seemingly included a subtle nod to Perry.
