HORNELL, N.Y. (WETM) – A Hornell man has been arrested on two felony charges following a child exploitation investigation that originated in May.
Eugene W. Hale, 33, was arrested on the charges of promoting a sexual performance by a child (class D felony) and possessing a sexual performance by a child (class E felony), as stated in a release from the New York State Police.
Officials say Hale was charged with the crimes following an extensive child exploitation investigation that began in May of 2025. The investigation was organized by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the state police barracks in Hornell in conjunction with the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit (CCU) and the Troop E Forensic Investigation Unit (FIU) after receiving a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exp
