New curfew measures went into effect this weekend after large crowds of juveniles were seen being chased by the National Guard and running through a park in Navy Yard on Halloween night.
D.C. Police Chief Pamela Smith announced a curfew from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Saturday to Sunday — in special juvenile curfew zones located in Navy Yard, the U Street corridor, the Banneker Recreation Center and near Union Station.

Out of 18 juveniles stopped by officers for violating the curfew, 14 were found near U Street and 14th Street Saturday night.
