LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo is expected to tour the Three Square Food Bank amidst the government shutdown.

According to a news release, Governor Lombardo and Three Square CEO Beth Martino will explain how Nevadans can access local food resources after their tour.

More than $38 million in federal and state funds have been allocated to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and the Three Square Food Bank.

On Saturday, Three Square hosted several food distribution drives to help Nevadans no longer supported by SNAP.

“No matter where you are here in Southern Nevada, you can find a food pantry, you can find help that’s close to you,” said Martino Saturday.

Governor Lombardo and Martino are expected to deliver remarks at 8 a.m., watch live on FOX5.
