A recall has been issued for more than 24,000 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles.

Owners of the recalled EVs will receive notification letters in late November.

Chrysler is r ecalling 24,238 Jeep vehicles because of a software error in an over-the-air (OTA) update that may cause a loss of drive power.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced in a recall notice that the loss of drive power may increase the risk of a crash.
