The air quality in Delhi is feared to deteriorate further with warning systems forecasting AQI in "severe" category on Tuesday. As per the Central Pollution Control Board, an overall AQI of 309 was recorded in Delhi at 4pm.
A thick layer of haze enveloped the national capital on Monday, and AQI close to 400 was recorded at many monitoring stations in Delhi. According to CPCB's Sameer app, AQI of 400 was recorded in Burari and 390 in Wazirpur. According to the Sameer app, AQI above 300 was recorded in 23 monitoring stations in the national capital.
