NEW ROADS, La. ( WAFB /Gray News) - Two girls have been hospitalized after being thrown 20 to 25 feet from a Ferris wheel at a harvest festival in Louisiana on Saturday.
One of the girls was airlifted to the hospital, and both girls were in the intenstive care unit. One girl has broken bones and the other has a possible brain bleed.
A third girl, who managed to hold on, preventing her from falling, was rescued and not injured, according to authorities.
Eddie Jones said he had just bought tickets to the Ferris wheel when he heard screams.
“We were in line to buy tickets to the Ferris wheel, and I heard a girl scream, and I looked over, and the Ferris wheel car was kicked over,” he said. I don’t know how it got in that position, but it was stuck. Yeah, I’ll probably never get on anothe
