BENGALURU: A woman hailing from West Bengal and residing in the city has made serious allegations against the city police, accusing them of brutally assaulting her and thrashing her in her private parts.
The victim, Sundari Bibi, a 34-year-old migrant worker, claimed she was assaulted by the police after being accused of theft. She alleged that the police thrashed her on the head, back, hands, legs and private parts, leaving her unable to walk due to blood clots.
She was working as domestic help in an apartment in Varthur police station limits where the theft occurred. She claimed that she had picked up money that had fallen on the floor and was about to return it to her employers when the apartment owners accused her of theft, assaulted her after going through CCTV footage, and handed h
