The Toronto Blue Jays lost the World Series and now must start thinking about building their roster for next season. The bullpen could be an area of focus.
Having an elite closer is a luxury the Blue Jays could covet in free agency. Devin Williams was one of the best closers in the game coming into last season, but he did not play well for the New York Yankees. The Yankees traded for him before the season, but he had a 4.79 ERA. He also lost the closer job.
With David Bednar under contract next season, the Yankees do not have much reason to bring Williams back. After a down year, he could be looking for an opportunity that allows him to reestablish himself as a dominant closer. FanSided's Chris Landers urged the Blue Jays to sign him in order to win a World Series.
