For the first time, Greenville has a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Scoundrel, located at 18 N. Main St., was one of four South Carolina establishments earning one star in the inaugural Michelin Guide American South. The French-inspired downtown restaurant was opened by chef Joe Cash in 2022.
Four other Greenville restaurants earned Recommended mentions in the American South guide: Soby’s and Jianna in downtown Greenville, The Anchorage in West Greenville, and Topsoil in Travelers Rest.
The announcements were made Nov. 3 during a ceremony in Peace Concert Hall at the Peace Center in downtown Greenville.
Michelin Guide American South includes Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. It incorporates the pre-existing Atlanta guide, which debute
