Ford reported its sales in October rose 1.6% on the strength of gasoline vehicle sales.
Ford numbers show its sales of electric vehicles fell in October.
Ford Motor Co.'s October total sales edged up 1.6% for the month compared with the year-ago period on the strength of gasoline vehicles as sales of electric vehicles nosedived following the end of the $7,500 EV federal tax incentive in September.
The sales results, reported Nov. 3, come about a week after CEO Jim Farley warned of what he says is a "different level of risk" for the U.S. auto industry coming out of China.
Ford reported Monday it sold 175,584 vehicles in the U.S. in October, a 1.6% increase from October 2024. Through the end of October, Ford has sold 1,834,492 vehicles in the U.S., a 6.6% increase compared with the year-
