CANTON, Mass. —
A member of the Canton Police Department accused of misconduct has been placed on paid administrative leave, the department announced Monday.
The town was notified on Oct. 24 about the allegations of misconduct, and the person, who was not identified, was placed on leave, officials said.
"The town engaged an independent investigator to conduct a thorough administrative investigation into the allegations of misconduct," a town official said in a statement.
No details about the alleged misconduct were released.
