A member of the embattled Canton Police Department has been placed on paid administrative leave following "allegations of misconduct," the town said in a statement released Monday morning.
The town did not name the officer, but said they were notified on Oct. 24 of "allegations of misconduct concerning a member of the Town's Police Department." They said they are unable to share personnel information due to laws governing employee privacy, but they did want to release what details they could "in an effort to ensure transparency and to keep members of the Town's community informed of ongoing matters."
