More than 240,000 Brooklynites voted early this year, outpacing every other borough before polls closed for early voting on Sunday, Nov. 2.

There were 243,737 voters from Brooklyn, surpassing Manhattan early voters by about 31,000, according to unofficial and cumulative early voting data from the New York City Board of Elections.

Residents of DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Park Slope and Windsor Terrace participated the most in early voting, while Ocean Hill, Brownsville, East New York, Starett City, East Flatbush, Sunset Park, Benshonhurst, Gravesend and Coney Island had low early voter turnout, according to preliminary BOE data.

More than 45,000 Millennial voters (born between 1981 and 1996) cast their ballot, while about 40,000 Gen X (born between 1965 and 1980)
