CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — More than three dozen animals were removed from an apartment building connected to the suspicious death of a woman in Central Falls.
Staff members with the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) responded to 382 Central St. on Monday.
Six dogs and 34 cats were found inside, which are now being brought to the RISPCA facility in East Providence.
Photos from inside the building showed trash and fecal matter all over the floor.
No word on any charges at this time.
On Oct. 27, Pawtucket police found a body in a wooded area of their city and determined the death had taken place elsewhere. They contacted Central Falls police after the investigation led them to the Central Street building.
