MSNBC will change its name to MS NOW beginning Nov. 15, as the network separates from NBCUniversal and transitions to a new media company called VERSANT.
The rebranded network, whose name stands for “My Source for News, Opinion, and the World,” assured viewers that its core identity will remain intact despite the name change.
“This gives us the freedom to chart our own path forward, and we’re excited about where it’s headed,” the company stated in its announcement .
A memo also went out to MSNBC staffers ahead of the news, according to PEOPLE . Network President Rebecca Kutler wrote: “this moment comes after months of meticulous planning and thoughtful collaboration across every corner of our organization.
