Over 90,000 chainsaw units are being recalled over concerns that the machine’s chain brake may not activate, posing a laceration risk.

Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. of Brookfield, Wisconsin, is recalling approximately 90,860 units of its model 2826-20 M18 FUEL Top Handle Chainsaws with either a 12" or 14" bar, according to a notice published on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website on Oct. 30.

About 7,500 of the units were sold in Canada, while approximately 83,360 were sold in the U.S.

The recalled units can be identified with the letter "A" in the product’s serial number, the notice states. The catalog number can be found on the upper right portion of the product’s nameplate.
