A judge has dismissed the murder case against a Clark County man found incompetent to stand trial for allegations that he fatally stabbed his sister in September 2024.

Dwayne Robinson, 35, was facing a charge of first-degree murder in Clark County Superior Court. Judge Robert Lewis dismissed the case Oct. 21. Lewis ordered that Robinson be evaluated for civil commitment, court records show.

In October 2024, a preliminary mental health evaluation found that Robinson was presumed to have the capacity to understand the nature of the proceedings. However, he lacked the capacity to assist counsel in his defense, according to court records.
