Does Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon find himself on the hot seat during his third season?

The Cardinals coach sits at 2-5 en route to what would be his third losing season of three with Arizona, which could prompt the organization to make wholesale changes to the coaching staff and potentially front office.

Gannon's 4-13 first season in 2023 was followed by an 8-9 season in 2024, with expectations relatively high for Arizona to make the leap in 2025. However, a number of close losses has Arizona in desperation mode.

KYLER MURRAY: Did Arizona subtly bench QB?

A sixth loss to the hosting Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football would be a devastating blow to what looks to be another lost year in Glendale. Gannon could be the scapegoat if the results don't flip themselves fast.

The future in Arizona is very unclear, particularly with quarterback Kyler Murray and his tenure with the franchise. We'll see how the season evolves, but Gannon is not in a good spot right now to make it to a fourth season.

What would be next for Gannon if he's fired?

He'd immediately stand as one of the hottest defensive coordinator candidates in the NFL.
