The Mike Shula era is over at South Carolina, ending on a cloudy Sunday in the Palmetto State. His stint as offensive coordinator lasted all of 10 games across 10 months going back to last season’s capstone Citrus Bowl.

Why did it last even that long?

Because each of those games was pretty forgettable. Actually, to forget would be a blessing. The overwhelming majority of USC’s offensive performances this season have been dreadful, so bad that fans would rather just deny those contests existed. Good luck trying to unsee them .

Less than 300 total yards in four of nine games, the bottom being 253 total against South Carolina State? That all happened. Sixteen total touchdowns? Happened. An anemic 2.8 yards per carry for the season? It’s real.
