KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - When the Kansas City Chiefs take the field in 13 days against the first-place Denver Broncos, they could have an Opening Day starter who has not seen game action for a month.
Left tackle Josh Simmons, who missed the Chiefs’ primetime matchup against the Detroit Lions in mid-October and has been absent since, has returned to the team, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Simmons had stepped away from the team due to a personal matter .
Before the Chiefs hosted the Washington Commanders a week ago, head coach Andy Reid offered an encouraging update on Simmons’ situation.
