A western Pennsylvania home improvement contractor was sued by the state attorney general’s office for failures to fulfill contracts with consumers, according to a news release from the AG’s office.
A&S Contracting and Roofing, LLC, and its owner, Stephen Spallone, are accused in the lawsuit of violating Pennsylvania’s Consumer Protection Law and Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, failing to complete projects after receiving over $56,000 from customers.
The news release said six complaints with the Bureau of Consumer Protection allege A&S Contracting & Roofing was paid thousands of dollars in down payments for projects like roofing, gutter replacement and construction of decks and patios.
