Grove Street is closed between Knoll and Oak Hill roads due to damage, police said. Oak Hill Road is also impassable due to flooding between Nabnasset Street and Plain Road.
Neighborhood resident Peter Kariuki said his daughter woke him up around 6 a.m. as water was pouring down the street, and the roadway buckled around 7 a.m. His home was flooded.
Kariuki didn't go to work and instead planned to spend the day working with his insurance company.
"When I came out and looked, it was all, like, water coming," Kariuki said. "All the basement, carpet, it's all
