CLEVELAND, Ohio — Authorities say a North Ridgeville father fatally shot his daughter Friday night at a home in Strongsville.
Police said Gina Guyer, 49, suffered gunshot wounds at a home in the 22000 block of Rock Creek Circle about 8 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Gene Tomcho, 74, holding a handgun, according to authorities.
Officers told him to drop the weapon, but police said he turned it on himself and fired. Paramedics treated Guyer and Tomcho. She later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.
Strongsville police confirmed the relationship between Guyer and Tomcho on Monday. Tomcho, of North Ridgeville, faces charges of murder and felonious assault.
