OLYMPIA, Wash. — A Washington State Patrol profiler who helped track down Travis Decker , the father who killed his three daughters this past summer near Leavenworth, is telling her behind the scenes story to KING 5 News.

In her only televised interview, Dr. Stacy Cecchet shares new insights into the case that shocked the Northwest.

Dr. Cecchet, a forensic psychologist, was on duty helping investigators cope with the emotional trauma of working on the murders when she quietly offered her services. Cecchet works in private practice and is one of only a handful of people in the world with her level of expertise.

"Investigators don't call me for your standard child abuse case," Cecchet said.

When she started looking at the file, she knew this would be one of her toughest assignments.
