The NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday, and the Patriots find themselves in a tricky situation.
New England currently leads the AFC East with a 7-2 record. Most analysts don’t consider it one of the top Super Bowl contenders, as FanDuel gave it odds of +2700 to win the Super Bowl on Monday.
The Patriots should consider adding a few more players to their roster before the trade deadline. However, Boston Sports Journal’s Greg Bedard believes they shouldn’t part with premium picks, such as a first- or second-round selection.
“It really depends on the player,” Bedard said on Sunday, talking about not giving up a premium pick for a possible rental, via Patriots on CLNS. “Quite frankly, no. You want a sustainable winner. You don’t want a you know flash in the pan in one year.”
