A member of the Hells Angels in Quebec has been charged with first-degree murder following his arrest at Pearson International Airport. Mathieu Pelletier, 33, was taken into custody last Tuesday while attempting to board a flight to Mexico.
Pelletier is affiliated with the Quebec City chapter of the outlaw motorcycle gang. He is also the son of Marc (Tom) Pelletier, a founding member of the same chapter. The charges against Mathieu Pelletier stem from the death of Jennifer Morin, 45, who was shot and killed in her Quebec City home last December. Authorities believe her murder was a case of mistaken identity.
Jennifer Morin was the mother of Jeffrey Morin, a gang member who was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison after pleading guilty to cocaine trafficking last July. Jeffrey Morin is linked to the Blood City Mafia, a gang that has been in conflict with the Hells Angels over drug territory in the Quebec City area for more than two years.
In connection with Jennifer Morin's murder, thirteen individuals have been arrested. Their ages range from 18 to 51 years old, and they face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The investigation into the case continues as authorities work to uncover more details surrounding the incident and the ongoing gang violence in the region.
