Mitchell Kahan, who built Akron Art Museum's prominence, dies at 74

When Mitchell Kahan was introduced to someone during his retirement, he didn't want to go by any honorifics or titles. He was just Mitchell Kahan.

The influential arts professional, who was director and CEO of the Akron Art Museum for more than 26 years, died in Washington, D.C., Oct. 16 due to heart failure. He was 74.
