EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Evansville Water and Sewer Utility officials say they're working to suspend shutoffs, liens, and late fees to help customers who may be affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown and potential delays in SNAP benefits.
According to a social media post, the EWSU management team is requesting the EWSU Utility Board to suspend shutoffs, liens, and late fees for residential customers for 90 days beginning today.
EWSU says the proposed suspension is intended to help customers who may be financially impacted by the ongoing federal government shutdown and potential delays in SNAP benefits.
