FORT TOTTEN, N.D. (KVRR) — The search continues for a missing Native American woman who was lost spotted near Fort Totten, North Dakota early Saturday.
A Feather Alert was issued for 20-year-old Danica “Tynee” White of Fort Totten.
She called 9-1-1 around 6 a.m. saying she needed help and that set off a response from local authorities.
Extensive searches covering 6,000 acres have been done and Spirit Lake people are being asked to check their properties.
Hunters are also being warned to watch for searchers out in fluorescent vests and other identifying gear.
White’s parents are appealing to the community for any information to help find their daughter.
She recently celebrated her 20th birthday by taking her younger sister trick-or-treating for Halloween.
