A local nonprofit wants artists to create holiday-themed mural artwork for storefront windows in downtown Trenton’s Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit (NRTC) area.
So, it has launched a contest to do just that.
Isles , a Trenton-based community development organization, is accepting applications from artists and city business owners for its “Downtown Trenton Holiday Storefront Mural Contest.”
“We put this contest together based on business feedback and understanding that business owners want to be involved too,” said Chris Shimchick, Isles’ assistant director of community planning and development.
The NRTC area is bounded by the Delaware and Raritan Canal , North Willow Street, Assunpink Creek , and U.S. Route 1, according to the Isles Creek to Canal Creative District’s websit
