The Dallas Cowboys have completed an important trade and could secure more ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, according to owner Jerry Jones.

Always one for drama, Jones did not reveal the name of the player joining the team, but noted that the move has addressed some of their struggles, and the player will be on the field straight away.

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones just said Dallas has made a trade and could possibly make a couple of more before tomorrow’s deadline. He declined to share who is involved in the trade,” The Athletic’s Jon Machota reported on Monday afternoon.

“Immediately it will have him on the field and it will address some of the things that have been our shortcomings,” Jones was quoted as saying.
