ROCKFORD, Ill. — A Mount Morris man is dead after his car crashed in the local area.
Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, 49-year-old Bradley Acaley of Mount Morris was driving south on Prairie Road near S. Main Street when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over. He was the only person inside.
Several first responders rushed to the scene. When they arrived, they found Acaley unconscious.
Acaley was given medical attention but determined to be beyond resuscitation. He was pronounced dead just before 3 a.m.
An autopsy confirmed that Acaley died from blunt head trauma from the vehicle crash.
The Winnebago County Coroner's Office and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office are both still investigating the incident.
