ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of sexual battery charges, according to a news release from the Office of the State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Jonathan Aaron Speaker received a life sentence and is designated as a sexual predator after he was found guilty of two counts of sexual battery while in a position of custodial authority and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim between 12 and 15 years old.

Law enforcement began investigating when they received a tip that "Speaker had inappropriately touched a minor child in his custody." The abuse began when the victim was nine years old and lasted for several years.
