GRAND FORKS — Jonathan Toews is UND's all-time leading NHL scorer — again.
Toews passed Zach Parise on Saturday, tallying an assist for the Winnipeg Jets in a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Toews now has 890 regular-season NHL points. Parise has 889. Dave Christian is third at 773, T.J. Oshie fourth at 695, James Patrick fifth at 639 and Brock Nelson sixth at 591.
Parise passed Toews two seasons ago while playing a half-season with the Colorado Avalanche, while Toews was out of the NHL dealing with a health issue.
Parise retired after the 2023-24 season.
Toews signed a one-year contract with his hometown Winnipeg Jets in the offseason. He has seven points in 12 games for the Jets, who are tied as the NHL's best team.
