FOXBOROUGH – It looks like the Patriots will need to rely on a rookie receiver more this week.

During their win over Atlanta, Patriots receiver Kayshon Boutte left due to a hamstring injury and was eventually ruled out in the second half. Considering he didn’t return to the game, Boutte’s availability for the team’s next matchup in Tampa Bay looks questionable at best.

Boutte’s absence led to more snaps for rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams. On Monday, Mike Vrabel updated Boutte’s status and said it was unlikely he’d start the week practicing with the team.

“Kayshon’s going to be day-to-day,” Vrabel said. “But I don’t see him practicing early in the week. We’ll see where that goes late in the week, but Kyle should be ready to go here for us.”
