YORK COUNTY, Va. — A shed fire was quickly extinguished in the Tabb area of York County on Monday afternoon.

The fire happened about 3 p.m. Personnel from the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety were dispatched to the fire in the Bethel Mobile Home Village in the 3500 block of Hampton Highway.

A passerby saw the smoke and flames coming from a shed and immediately called 911.

The Langley Air Force Base Fire Department provided mutual aid and quickly extinguished the fire. York County Fire and Life Safety arrived moments later and began searching for any further extension.

The cause is under investigation.
