FRONT ROYAL — Perhaps best known for its home building projects, Habitat for Humanity also has a repair program that helps homeowners to continue to live in safe homes.
“We are concentrating on repairing problems. Too many people are in homes, heating in crazy ways that are unsafe,” said Andrea Ross, executive director of Warren County Habitat for Humanity. “The only way to reach people is if we have funds.”
To raise those funds, the local organization will host its 4th annual fundraising gala — a Sneaker Ball — from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.
“The gala is always our largest fundraiser of the year and funds go to support home builds and our repair program to help keep qualified residents safe in their homes,” Ross said.
The goal is to raise $25,000 to help
