PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The Pensacola Blue Wahoos today revealed a new "alternate" identity that honors Pensacola's ties to military aviation, according to a Blue Wahoos news release.
According to the release, in select games of the 2026 season, the Blue Wahoos will become the "Pensacola Sky Jockeys," sporting blue and yellow jerseys with an aviation theme "reminiscent of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron."
"Fitting Pensacola’s status as the 'Cradle of Naval Aviation,' the Sky Jockeys jersey features the team wordmark in a sharp, angular font to match livery on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet flown by the Blue Angels," the release said. "The cap features a fierce, anthropomorphic fighter jet sporting aviator sunglasses and baseball bats on its wingtips."
