A search operation is underway for Devon Dobek , a 51-year-old experienced hunter from Hubbard, Oregon, who has been missing since Friday evening (October 31) in the Mount Hood National Forest. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office reported that Dobek was last heard from when he messaged a friend about returning early from his hunting trip after successfully bagging a deer.

Dobek's truck was found near the Fish Creek Trailhead, but there was no sign of him or the deer . The search, which began Friday night, has grown into a multi-agency effort involving over 100 rescuers, drones, ATVs, and canine units. The Oregon National Guard and the 304th Rescue Squadron have also joined the search with air support, including a helicopter.
