HOUSTON — After a weekend of long security lines during the ongoing federal government shutdown, TSA wait times at Houston’s airports are expected to be shorter Tuesday, but travelers should still arrive early.
According to Houston Airports, TSA wait times at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) may exceed 60 to 75 minutes on Tuesday, Nov. 4, while waits at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) could exceed 30 minutes. Those estimates are down from Sunday, when waits reached as high as three hours at Bush and one hour at Hobby.
When we checked Fly2Houston.com at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, we saw wait times at Bush Airport security at 15 minutes. At Hobby Airport, they were around 11 minutes.
