A man was rescued after a car was flipped onto its side and smashed onto the pavement in a horror crash in Trafford on Monday afternoon (November 3).

Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to Norris Road in Sale following the collision, which involved one vehicle.

Witnesses claimed onlookers rushed to help after the driver became stuck inside the car. He was later rescued and transferred to the care of paramedics.

Pictures shared with the M.E.N show the car badly damaged on its side after landing on the pavement. The area was taped off by emergency services.
