One of Alliance Kiwanis Club's biggest fundraisers once again brought out a huge crowd hungry for pancakes, as its 67th Pancake Jamboree thrilled hundreds of diners Nov. 1 at Alliance High School. The annual event includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, syrup and coffee or milk for $7.50 apiece, with children younger than 5 eating for free. Funds raised at the event assist Carnation City Pantry, Alliance YMCA, Alliance YWCA, Carnation City Players, Alliance Parks & Recreation, Wreaths Across America, Power of the Pen, education programs in Alliance City Schools and Marlington Local Schools, Hot Stove baseball, scholarships and the annual Academic Challenge competition in Alliance.
