The wait to find out who the new manager of the Atlanta Braves is over and as it turned out, the team has once again stayed within the organization in order to bring in their new skipper. Former Braves shortstop and bench coach Walt Weiss has been promoted to the position of field manager for the Atlanta Braves. As is customary for a lot of big Braves news, it came straight from the team itself with an announcement out of the blue.

This’ll be Weiss’s second go-around as a big league manager, as his first stint as a manager took place from 2013 through the 2016 season with the Colorado Rockies.
