Police in Farmington, Simsbury and South Windsor are investigating thefts of ATMs from gas stations in the three towns and said they might all be connected.

Farmington police responded to the Mobil gas station at 843 Farmington Ave. around 1:49 a.m. Monday when the burglar and a glass break alarms went off and officers found that the front door had been forced off its hinges and the store’s ATM had been removed, police said.

They said the initial information suggests that three people who were all wearing masks arrived in a dark blue Volvo SUV and removed the ATM before fleeing the area.

Farmington police are investigating the burglary there and ask anyone who has information to call the Farmington Police Departmen
