SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - With thousands of families losing their SNAP benefits during the government shutdown, the Better Business Bureau has a warning about scammers taking advantage of people who want to help.
Social media is a great way to stay in contact with friends and family. But sometimes, people will try to use the platforms as a way to scam people out of money.
“You want to make sure you are giving to an organization that is well established and does the most good with your dollar,” said Pamela Hernandez with BBB.
