Louisville basketball begins Year 2 of the Pat Kelsey era in earnest today against South Carolina State . Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. at the KFC Yum! Center .

The No. 10 Cardinals went 1-1 in exhibitions against Division I opponents last month, falling to No. 19 Kansas on Oct. 24 and beating Bucknell on Oct. 28. This time next week they'll gear up for a showdown against their archrival, No. 9 Kentucky — so they better make today's game and Thursday's matchup against Jackson State count.
